Ingemansson Technology have built up a unique knowledge in just about any application of Acoustics, Sound and Vibrations. Our expertise have been involved in projects ranging from demands for a good acoustic environment to good sound insulation, good room acoustics, low noise and vibration levels. Acoustic planning in an early phase of a project saves money by optimizing constructions.
About Ingemansson.
Ingemansson is the leading expert in Northern Europe in the area of acoustics, noise and vibration. We combine advanced Engineering, an innovative approach and state of the Art technology for your benefit.
For close to 50 years Ingemansson have built up a unique competence and broad experience in just about any application of Acoustics, Sound and Vibrations. Our expertise have been involved in projects ranging from optimal design of Concert Halls to measures to reduce the noise and hearing damages of Foundry workers, or to ascertain a low noise design of your household vacuum cleaner.
Based in Scandinavia our staff, of more 120 highly competent Engineers and Scientist, has supported a wide spectrum of customers all over the globe. By continuous development of our staff we will strengthen our position as the leading company in Noise and Vibration Control.
Our independence (from contractors, authorities etc) in combination with our high standards of quality and integrity is fundamental to our business.
At Ingemansson we will continue our effort to supply the most cost-efficient solutions for Noise and Vibration Control.
Building acoustics.
With today's growing demands for a good acoustic environment, buildings are largely designed to meet acoustic requirements - good sound insulation, good room acoustics, low noise and vibration levels. Acoustic planning in an early phase of a project saves money by optimizing constructions.
Our advice is based on the experience of tens of thousands of assignments and modern calculation and simulation programs. We collaborate with buyers, consultants, contractors and product suppliers so that we know every detail of every measure taken.
Silence has become a rare, but much sought-after quality. We are constantly bombarded with noise - at work, in traffic, in shopping centers, in the home, and in our leisure time. In the home, we are bothered by noise from traffic and ventilation, the neighbor's stereo and TV, and the children's "boom boxes."
Room acoustics.
Concert halls, opera houses and theaters must, by definition, meet high acoustic demands. Even churches, meeting halls, classrooms and large offices need to meet basic acoustic demands to work successfully.
We can offer extremely good reproduction of speech and music with electroacoustic facilities. For good results, the sound system and the room must be adapted to each other with coordinated planning.
Electroacoustics.
Electroacoustic tools are used in various situations; amplifying a speaker, reproducing recorded sound - for example, in a movie theater - or simulating a longer reverb to give the impression of a much larger locale.
For amplifying speech and reproducing music, both live and recorded, the facility and the room acoustics have to be adapted to one another. Otherwise, the result might be a stronger sound, but poorer comprehensibility and speech recognition.
Sound insulation.
High sound insulation and low impact (footstep) noises are often the most important acoustic demands. Noise from neighbors-poor sound insulation-is one of the most common complaints in housing. The sound insulation in a construction is determined by several factors; there is no general rule of thumb for which constructions are required for a certain level of sound insulation.
Equipment noise.
If equipment noise is considered early in the planning phase, the costs of corrective measures are usually negligible. This applies to ventilation systems, water pipes, sewer pipes, refrigeration machines, heating pumps, elevators, refrigerators, washing machines and more.
Vibrations in buildings - Building Vibrations.
Vibrations from trains, subways and road traffic often cause problems in today's cities. The problems can often be avoided by selecting suitable constructions, but sometimes the problems are so great that entire buildings must be placed on vibration isolators. Disturbing or sensitive equipment is insulated inside the building.
Industrial noise.
An industry often consists of many noise sources of varying size. Everything from small fans to long conveyor belts or entire facades that exude noise. To reduce the noise levels around the industry, we have to quiet the noisiest sources!
Which noise source is the noisiest can vary depending on the direction and distance. We have developed a method of rapid measuring and calculating to determine which noise sources need to be muffled and how much. The method involves determining the sound power level of each noise source separately using near-field measurements.
Noise from work sites.
Construction projects that take a long time often have to meet a lot of environmental requirements on site. One such requirement is a limit to noise levels during the construction period. In these projects, it is often important to predict noise levels well in advance. The trick is to plan the work and select quieter methods wherever possible. If the noise level is still undesirably high, other measures may be taken, such as provisional noise screens. During the noisy work on the construction site, regular measurements can be taken to monitor noise levels.
Ground vibrations.
Ê
In many places in Sweden, heavy vehicles can cause vibrations that can spread hundreds of yards in the ground so that the floors in nearby homes vibrate. We measure ground vibrations according to Swedish standards and Nordtest measurement methods. We can now forecast the risk for vibrations. Our services include building frame noise, which can also be caused by ground vibrations.
